Assembly Agencies Presentation
One of the features of recent meetings of the Assembly has been the combined presentation of Assembly Agencies. In this setting, Assembly staff make a contribution to the theme of the Assembly, as well as convey something of the life and work of the Assembly.
At the 11th Assembly the Letter to Philemon provided the frame for our presentation. We worked with two themes – “The world is listening for…”, and also the image of our lives being living letters that communicate so much about the character and hopes of God for the world. Members of the 11th Assembly were encouraged to reflect on the presentation in a creative way and contribute a small section of decorated cloth toward a larger banner which was sewn together and displayed at the meeting.
